Meet MISS FAMOUS........

Tamisha Lacole Davis known professionally by her stage name, Miss Famous, hails from the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, NY. Influenced by the grit, and fast-paced nature of her surroundings, Miss Famous learned at an early age that a closed mouth never gets fed. With that inspiration, she understoond that nothing would come those who wait; her objective became... TO GO AND GET HERS. The eldest of five sisters and seven brothers, Miss Famous is no stranger to competition. The talented HIP HOP/R&B artist realized her passion for creativity very early.

As time progressed, so did her talent, her mother petitioned for a young Tamisha's inclusion in the Mount Zion Baptist Church's choir. There Tamisha blossomed; With a gospel influence, resulting from her stepdad's upbringing as the son of a preacher, Tamisha fell deeper in love with music. A chanced meeting with Industry veteran Nikki Nicole, introduced Tamisha to the MUSIC INDUSTRY.

Tamisha began to perfect her craft, now getting into song writing; Around that time, she began her love affair with HIP HOP. Wanting to expand her talents, she began to write rhymes and realized that she was indeed the best of both worlds. Following that, she performed in amazing fashion at the World Famous Apollo theater leading to an artist development arrangement at MCA. Aside from her music, to her credit Tamisha has been showcased in videos of high profile acts such as Missy Elliott, 702, and the late great Aaliyah. Tamisha has auditioned successfully for American Idol, and X-Factor; all of which have been great momentum builders and exposure.

Her momentum in 2012 has been widely acclaimed and celebrated. In recent times, Tamisha has collaborated with Crucial Keys of MBK fame (Alisha Keys affiliates). Her greatest challenge of late is standing firm in her vision for her music and identity.

Her continued work with, and stamp of approval from the hottest DJs in the game, including DJ Envy, DJ Enuff, DJ Clue, Kay Slay, and Funkmaster Flex has done wonders for her brand. She has grown both domestically and abroad, touring in Europe and state-side opening for well known acts such as Juelz Santana, and Vado. Currently she is trying her hand in film, with the beginnings of filming for her reality show "Roc the Mic" to be aired in conjunction with Contagious Entertainment.

When asked the question of her position in Hip Hop, Miss Famous confirms that she is HIP HOP.
